Author area
Papers should be submitted in PDF format (max 2 MB). Authors must indicate if they wish to present their work as “poster” or “oral presentation”. Accompanying videos are encouraged for both forms of presentation. Videos should be in the form of a short clip, format MPG (preferably less than 5 MB). Videos associated with accepted papers will be part of the conference proceedings.
Publishing in the Robótica journal
All the accepted and registered papers will be considered for IPC - International Program Committee
selection during the peer reviewing process. At least five papers will be selected for publication in the Robótica journal. The final selection will be announced during the conference and in the conference web site.

Video Clips
Contributed paper can be accompanied by a short Video Clip. The video clip is intended to enhance the contents of a paper, in particular clarifying technical aspects of the work presented. While the paper should be self-contained (i.e., fully readable and understandable independently from the video), the video clip can be something like those shown during the authors' presentations at the conference. Please, keep it short and focused. The conference committee will allow videos with sizes larger then 5MB if the themes presented are of major interest to all participants.
Video clips should be prepared without using "special" codecs (coders/decoders) in order to provide as much portability across platforms as possible. Accordingly, the most common media formats are strongly recommended (mpeg 1 or mpeg 4). Only freely available players (e.g., QuickTime, RealPlayer, Microsoft Windows Media Player, MPlayer) should be required for viewing the video.
Video clips will be reviewed together with the associated papers. For each accepted paper, the video can be accepted or rejected. If the video is also accepted and the reviewers consider it pertinent, changes may be suggested to the video clip but, in any case, it will be included in the conference proceedings (DVD).

How to produce PDF documents here.
REMINDER: Style files and templates provided here, have been created to ensure that margin requirements are adequately met. Authors are responsible for submitting their paper in the required format. All papers will be published as submitted by the Author. The Conference is NOT responsible for editing or correcting errors in the paper.
Posters
The number of poster sections will depend on the number of accepted posters. Authors must attach their poster to the poster board assigned to them. Pushpins, adhesive and other material needed for posting the posters will be provided by the conference organization.
In each session, presenters will be expected to stand by their posters and discuss the work with interested attendees. Prepare a short presentation of about 5 or 10 minutes that you can periodically give to interested attendees. Presenters may wish to bring printed technical reports or other material to hand out to interested attendees. Presenters are also encouraged to bring their laptop computers, in order to show images, play animations, and run interactive demos.
Poster format:
• The maximum poster area allowed by the poster board is : 105 cm wide by 125 cm tall. We recommend the use of paper size A0: 83.0 x 115.4 cm ( 32.7 x 45.4 inches), or ISO A0 which is slightly bigger.
• A strip at the top should contain the title (Bold and Upper case), followed by the author’s name and affiliation. E-mail addresses and web addresses should also be included.
• A brief Abstract should be included with no more than 500 words.
• The poster must be readable from a 2 m distance.
Submission and Registration Policies
• All papers submitted to Robotica2007, whether for review or publication upon acceptance, must be written in English and formatted in the standard 2-column format.
•For the purpose of review, all contributed papers are limited to eight (8) pages.
• For publication in the conference proceedings, all accepted papers are limited to six (6) pages. Authors may upload longer manuscripts up to a maximum of eight (8) pages in total. However, each page in excess of six will incur a charge of € 50.
• Authors of accepted papers are expected to attend the ROBÓTICA2007 to present their work. At least one of the authors listed on the paper must be registered when the final manuscript is uploaded to the conference submission website.
• We encourage all authors to create an IEEE compliant PDF version of their paper. Until now the Conference does not have the possibility to introduce their proceedings in the IEEE Xplore database. If that possibility occurs, we will need all our proceeding papers IEEE compliant, and that is a responsibility of authors. An overview of the IEEE PDF eXpress™ usage is given in creating an IEEE compliant PDF.
All questions related to papers and video submissions should be directed to ecrobotica2007@ccvalg.pt.
